The United States International Poster Biennial, a global competition highlighting cultural, social, academic, and professional principles, is now accepting entries. Held every two years, this prestigious event celebrates the most groundbreaking and influential poster designs from around the world.

Category A
SOCIAL

This category explores the social issues, human experiences, and challenges shaping our world today. Posters may raise awareness, provoke dialogue, question existing systems, or inspire action around topics that affect people and communities locally and globally.


Category B
CULTURAL

This category celebrates the ways culture shapes how we see, communicate, and connect with one another. Posters may explore art, music, heritage, identity, traditions, events, or other forms of cultural expression that reflect the richness and diversity of human experience.


Category C
MOTION

This category expands the traditional poster into a time based and digital format. Posters may use movement, animation, typography, sound, and other dynamic elements to create experiences that communicate through both visual form and motion.


Category D
CHICAGO 190

Created in collaboration with the Design Museum of Chicago, this category marks 190 years of Chicago through interpretations of the city from diverse perspectives. Posters may explore its history, architecture, communities, culture, innovation, contradictions, and the many identities that continue to shape Chicago.

UNITED THROUGH SPORTS

This category celebrates Los Angeles as a global city brought together through sport. Posters may explore how competition, community, culture, diversity, and shared experiences connect people across the city and reflect the energy and international spirit of Los Angeles.
